Sad, at least some reputable academic journals now start publishing about it.
What is going on behind the scenes is pretty krass sometimes.
My Thesis supervizor (who is very vocal against pharma) got kicked from several panels already as soon as one of the sponsors (a pharma company) complains about her being on the panel. It does not really matter for her financially because she sells her own books and can live off that and her University salary but it just shows you how they are completely unwilling to negotiate.
It's like that everywhere. Here we have doctors who have started speaking against vaccinations and are being threatened with having their licenses revoked.
Yeah, I know. Business as usual.
That's why you stop paying for health insurance and never go there.
Instead, you go to people who offer what you need.
E.g.: healthy food and you pay them.
