Ethereum and smart contracts
With the Flippening in everybody's minds at the moment I hear that Ethereum could take over from Bitcoin when the Market Cap catches up. Supposedly Ethereum is better technology because it is not primarily a currency or store of value. Ethereum is supposed to have these smart contracts built into the Block Chain. Now I am still struggling to actually see any real live examples of Ethereum contracts. I went to a website a while back and played with a few online smart contracts that had been uploaded. Most of them appeared to be just silly ponzi scheme games or gamling games that generally didn't work. Now I am happy to stand corrected if things have moved on from here. If so please post link to an example of a smart contract on the Ethereum Blockchain that can actually do something and is practical to use.
Smart contracts are often used for crowdsales in ICO's. TenX for example was over in 7 minutes with 80 Million crowdfunding. It automates and simplifies the whole process if the code is flawless. But i think there are many more applications.
