Why do you start a business???

Greetings guys. I trust all is going well for you. Well today i just have a simple question to ask you; why do you start a business?

Don't just start a business because you want to solve your money problem but rather start it because you want to solve people's problem and this doesn't necessarily have to do with working for someone or starting your own business ohh. It's a general something...

I see alot of people who want to do business or join a new field and without knowing the problem they are solving they just dive in to what's trending or what they claim is making profit at the time. You see everyone wants to sell female shoes and dresses in some towns because it is what's trending among university students or everyone wants to be a graphic designer because it was what's trending or everyone wants to be called the CEO and an entrepreneur because it is trending or everyone wants to bake cakes because their friends are making lots of profit from it.

Seriously!!!. The question is, if everyone becomes a graphic designer, a baker, sell clothes etc then who will buy from who?!

Tolo start any business, you need to focus on identifying people's problem and you then work towards solving them. Once you solve a major problem that many people face, then you realise that they will happily give you their money.

For example, let's say I teach people how they can use their whatsapp to increase their sales and/or make money for themselves. You know well that 98% of people are using whatsapp but they don't know how to use it to make money. Even most business people don't even know how to sell on Whatsapp. So, me teaching them how they can use their Whatsapp to make money or increase their sales is a way of solving a major problem.

One of the rules I live by is that I don't do what many people are doing or just follow the crowd. I always say this; what for them might not work for you just as what works for you might not work for them. When I see many people get into what I do, I sometimes get to rethink...why??. Simple because following the law of demand and supply, if supply is more than demand, price will definately fall and this it becomes less valuable. Let's keep qualify aside for today.

You don't have to learn graphic designing, baking, copywriting, whatsapp marketing, crypto, content creation, braids, acting and others simple because you want to make money and I'm not saying making money is bad ohh but go for it because you want to acquire a skill that will help you grow your business, because you have seen a problem you want to solve or because you have passion for that field.

I think everyone in this world is supposed to have a business, no matter how small or large. Do you know you can share your experiences with people and make money from it? Yes!! People write books sharing just their experiences and lessons learned in life and make alot of money.

Robert Kiyosaki said in his book "Rich Dad Poor Dad" that you should mind your business, which is a sentence we now use everyday to mean everyone should focus on their various lives. Unfortunately, many people failed to understand the meaning of that phrase, it simple means you should focus on your business and forget about that of others. Not necessarily that you have to own a business but you need to be involved in which produce you income.

Find a problem that is around your area of passion and solve it, you will not just be happy and fulfilled for putting smiles in the eyes of people by solving that problem but you will also be making money for yourself while doing something you love.
