Ways through which you can prevent having a heart attack

Hello people. Hope you're doing great today and if you're wondering, I'm doing great. So heart attack is pretty common these days with all the things we eat carelessly and several health issues but as we know, health is wealth so we must do our best to be healthy.

Today I'll like to share with us just 4 things that we can eat to prevent us from having a heart attack.

1. Salmon

We all love fish, I think but then whatever we eat no matter how we love it should be good for our health. Salmon is one of the things that we should eat often to prevent heart attack because it reduces the risk of having an irregular heart beat.Salmon is an oily fish which provides a good amount source of protein, vitamin D, vitamin B, omega-3 fatty acids plus and approximately 5grams of unsaturated fatty acids with is healthy for the heart.


2. Oatmeal

Oatmeal is not just rich in fiber but also improves digestion and reduces bad cholesterol levels. All these are good for the heart. There are too many types of Oatmeal these days so do well to avoid the ones with more sugar and sodium as they can reverse it's benefits. Oatmeal also aids weight loss and contains nutrients that protect the heart.


3. Dark chocolate

Dark chocolate which contains less sugar and saturated fats helps in normalizing blood pressure, to fight inflammation and also blood clots. To get the best benefits from dark chocolate, select the ones that contain 70% of cocoa beans. No matter how healthy it is, too much of anything isn't good so eat it in consideration as excess calories can also lead to weight gain.


4. Berries

Berries are very good when it comes to lowering blood pressure and to dilate blood vessels. They are one of the "superfoods" that provide us with specific health benefits, including lowering the risk of having heart disease. These benefits on the heart differ from berry to berry as there are so many types. Berries like raspberry, have a higher amount of fiber, which helps to lower cholesterol. Other berries like blueberry and blackberry have a greater amount of antioxidants which help prevent cellular damages and decrease the risk of heart disease.


Speaking of heart attack, it can often be confused with a panic attack because they have similar symptoms and since a heart attack can actually cause a panic attack makes it more difficult. So here's how to distinguish between the two attacks...

  • The pain of a heart attack is felt more in the center of the chest and can move downward to the left arm and back WHILE the pain from a panic attack is more concentrated in the chest region with an undulating character.

  • A panic attack can cause numbness and tingling of the right arm, legs and fingers.

  • Heart attack pain can last for more than 5 minutes without necessarily affecting the individuals breathing BUT a panic attack can cause shortness of breath.

  • Heart attack can be accompanied by feelings of nausea, cold and even sometimes throwing up WHILE a panic attack can be accompanied by feelings of fear, delusion or irritation.
