Go to the Ant - Here are 3 Important life lessons we can learn from the tiny ant
We can always learn from many living things around us, especially animals. When we look at how some of them live and are organized, you begin to appreciate the order very much lacking in the human society today. One of the animals considered very small and insignificant is the ant. You must have heard when people talk about the ant when they say - Go to the ant.
The ant though a tiny creature has a lot to teach us humans. So In this post, I will mention 3 life lessons we can learn from ants. Here are they:
1. They work as a team: Have you ever observed as ants work together as one as they carry various items to their hole? They are not each working on their own. Instead, they pull their power together and do the work as a team. No wonder, you see them live in colonies. Most times, ants are seen hauling objects, three times their size and weight. This can only be accomplished through teamwork.
Even when a member of the team gets injured or falls down, other ants come together to help out. When an ant in the team can no longer continue, you will see other ants carrying it to were it will recover. Humans tend to go their own way. But teamwork is what we all need. We need to come to the aid of each other and help others. When we have challenges, we need to rely on friends to help us out. Of course, we need to be good friends to others so that they can help us in times of need.
2. They are organized: Ants are very much organized in their colony. Each ant have some work to do and they accomplish their duties. There are soldier ants that make sure no intruders come in. They fight and makes sure other ants are protected. There are worker ants and the queen ant. Each ant knows and performs their duty. The lesson is that our human society today lacks proper organization. Have you noticed drivers that run the red light. have you noticed people that jump queue, and other things. If only humans can learn from the ant, our society will be a lot more organized.
3. Ants Work hard: Another important lesson we can learn from ants is that they work hard. Ants are very industrious. They are not easily overcome by any obstacle. Whether its raining, on a slippery surface, even in the darkness, ants are always busy. They gather food and do other works round the clock. many people easily give up in life. They allow life to put them down too easily. They are not motivated to give their best, to fight harder and try to win a negative situation. From the ant, we learn to always work hard and have a positive attitude
Conclusion
The ant is a small insect, but you can see it has big lessons for humans. So we should never be proud to take such lessons even from such a lowly insect. Life has so much to teach us. It can come from an ant.
Hi @gozienwa,
Nice article. This is a call for action. You are very correct.Ants are very organised and they believe in team work that's why they can accomplish a lot.
They don't struggle for position, rather they move in a straight line, they gathered food together and communicate or pass information to one another in the event of danger.
