Doodle Dodledayeo - Harpie's Morning Blues

Ahhh.... morning.....

Either you love it or hate it. But then people might hate it more when it's forced upon you, especially when the alarm is forcibly set for important reasons....

Anyways....

The theme for the contest is that of

-Feather
-Morning
-Clockwork

So I came up with this...

Okay....

Since I want to draw something different, I'm gonna try drawing a Harpie for those feathers. Those wings again...

Anyways, the steps. First is the penciling.

Next is the Inking.

Next is the base colors. For this one, I tried some warm colors for the harpy to at least show her personallity.

Next is all the details, lighting and stuff.

Finally some background, final adjustment, and composition.

Anyways, Harpies are known to have a female human body and other aspects of it have bird-like qualities. They originally come from Greek and later Roman mythology. Unlike the one that I drew here, usually Harpies means... bad news.... yeah they are not pleasant creatures if you based them on their classic mythology... Still, nothing's scarier than a mad clock... Those type of clock was REALLY loud back in the days... Usually, 7 o'clock in the morning is your typical time to wake up... maybe...

And don't ask me on how this Harpie of mine wears her clothes. I got know idea! XD
