It's my delight to be part of this week's contest, I love animals, God created them to be among us, to provide companionship, to help, protect and serve as food. That's why we have domestic & wild animals including pets, we should take care of all these animals, and not maltreat them in any way because the wealth of any nation lies in its resources Which include wildlife.

What is the type of your animal (pets/wild animals, etc.)

As I said before I love all types of animals, be it pets, domestic or wild animals. Well for now I don't keep animals as pets, but in the future when I'm ready I will love to keep bunnies and parrots as pets. My parents are raising goats and chickens and they are taking very good care of them. I love wild animals too, every day I spare some time to watch them, I like lions, cheetahs, birds, fish etc and I'm normally fascinated by butterflies, peacocks, And eagles.

Tell Us Information About The Animal

Today I want to speak about the eagle 🦅 it is in our national symbol and our national sports teams are nicknamed after this animal. An Eagle is a large powerfully-built bird of prey, it has a heavy beak and head, strong muscle legs and longer and broader wings, it can fly farther and faster in the sky without using enough energy, and it has powerful talons too.

Eagles have extremely powerful eyes they can spot potential prey from a very far distance they build their nest in tall trees, in the avian world eagles is ranked as the top food chain predator. Eagles are Powerful and known to be attacking drones.

Are These Animals Also Found In Other Countries?

Eagles are mostly found in Africa, Eurasia and some parts of other continent like, Asia, South/North America, Central America and Australia. We have many species of Eagles, the golden, crown, bald, and harpy Eagles etc. And one of the most powerful, and largest eagles the crown can be found in Nigeria forest.

What Is The Animal Mascot Used For (Sports Club, Country, Etc)

In Nigeria the animal mascot used in our coat of arms includes an eagle and two white horses. The eagle represents strength while the two white houses or chargers represent dignity.

The Nigerian national football team are nicknamed super eagles and super falcons for female teams. The underage male team are nicknamed flying eagles while the female teams are golden eaglets.

Mention Its Characteristics And Philosophy So That It Becomes A Mascot

Eagles are fearless, they have massive strength, eagles have a vision and are tenacious, they are majestic and courageous, and they fly alone in high altitudes. they took care of their young ones and they don't eat dead things and lastly, they are monogamous in nature, they have one partner for life.

Wow what an amazing character, if Nigeria as a nation can mimic this animal then we will be awesome, we will be persistent, not give up easily, and there will be no room for letting past failure weigh down on us or any room for negative vibes, we will have good vision and always make wise decisions and we will be courageous and majestic!
