Valiant Hearts: the great war - an unusual (cheap) game that is excellent
This game is truly unique in that it tells the story of 4 separate people and their involvement in World War 1. Developed by Ubisoft (of Rayman fame) I can honestly say that I have never played a game like this before and even though i completed it quite some time ago, the memory remains.
I almost never finish games. I am not a devoted enough gamer to do so. If i get to a boss battle that I deem to be too difficult, I will often "take a break"that turns into a long time away. When I do return I am so unfamiliar with the controls that defeating the boss is now impossible and I just stop playing the game altogether.
Valiant Hearts was different in that it is more of a puzzle game than a game for button masters. Plus the fact that the story is extremely tragic and points out the horrible side of war is actually quite touching. They claim that the game is based upon real letters actually discovered after the war and if that is true, wow!

I suppose what makes this story different is that the same story is told through the eyes of 4 different characters and none of the stories are terribly difficult to complete but it remains interesting because the story-telling is some incredibly well-done.
For those of you out there that are casual gamers that also appreciate a bit of real-world history to be a part of your gaming experience, this is a great way to spend $10. For those of you that spend hours mastering a button combination or can complete really anything on "nightmare" setting, Valiant Hearts might be too easy for you.
I feel as though from an artistic standpoint this game is absolutely fantastic and even though i have played through the game multiple times, I think i will do so again tonight. It is just that beautiful. I suppose the game could be considered a bit boring to hardcore gaming fans, but I am not one of those. I maybe spend and hour or so a day playing games on my computer and this one was simplistic enough that i could return, weeks later, and still be able to continue the story.

Though I'm more into sport game but for your response recommendation I'm going to try and get it download in order to have you the same experience like yourself.
This caught my attention, the tragic aspect of it, is what interests me more plus the exceptional graphic.
I know this one...haha. its a really dope game.The most striking aspect of Valiant Hearts is the splendid art direction. Playing it really feels like watching a wonderful piece of animation, and I was surprised at just how versatile the style is. Of course, it shines at beginning when asked to depict the calm of rural France, but it’s equally effective when tackling much more difficult environments. The trenches and frontlines of the war, in particular, resemble scenes from Hell, with thick smoke weighing down from above and piles of corpses providing cover. Importantly, the cartoon style never conceals the horror of what is taking place
Never heard of it, but I like the art style and I always appreciate a game with a good story-telling
I love these kind of games it let you know more about historic.

The true value of a game is to be able to complete the levels several times without getting bored of playing it...
