Total Lockdown: Day 8 of 10

So we are nearly to the finish line but as the saying goes, "they keep moving the goalposts" and I fully expect that when Wednesday rolls around that the 10 days of total lockdown is going to be extended to 14 days. Here's how things are evolving in Da Nang and from what I have heard, the rest of the country.

So things have been eased up a bit because with permission and only within a certain range of your place of residence, you are allowed to go and pick up merchandise from certain places. This resulted in myself and some friends being able to get some meat and veg and other things. I do believe that this is officially allowed but that the local lookouts are simply letting certain people through to certain places.

I say this because one particular pickup involved a box being placed across the street from a business in question and then the person walking away from that box. Then, we would go and pick up the box of stuff and leave money under a rock which he would later go and pick up. Whatever! At least we got our stuff.

I picked up enough of the things that have become staples of my diet recently.

I was able to score 3 bottles of white wine, and 4 containers of spaghetti sauce. I realize that it isn't exactly gourmet, but it gets the job done about as well as can be expected. I have a bunch of those instant noodle containers but that is more along the lines of doomsday level type food in my book. I'll eat those once the only other option is to forage for scraps in the field across the street.

So now me and my little dinnertime stalker are about as happy as we can be. The next issue is that I am running out of beer but believe it or not, this is actually very easy to replenish and appears on the list of things that the government will bring to you.

So things could be worse and I am just spending my days either here in my room, at the gym, or on the roof drinking beer with pals. I hoping that they will let us free after 2 more days but I fear that this is not going to happen.

Just open that airports back up I say, so I can GTFO. That is all I really want at this point. Well, that and some wine and spaghetti sauce and I already have those 2 things.
