there have been a lot of silly laws towards bars during the decade plus that I lived there. One of the strangest ones was that advertisements of booze brands were not allowed to be displayed outside the bar. This was problematic for my bar and all the other ones as our store signs were paid for by Chang, Singha, San Miguel, etc. We all just put trash bags taped over the signs until the police forgot about the new law.
