Helmet: the band with one song?
I'm sure there are many more bands like this.. great job on the 1 song i guess.
So I'll start out with say that this is a "puff piece" compared to what I normally do. However, there is a reason for this.
"Unsung" by Helmet was everywhere when i was in college. A bunch of us bought the album and tried to like it, but we didn't. No one ever talked about how great the rest of the album was (Think "Nevermind" by Nirvana.)
So i am posting this because I feel as though Helmet probably couldn't have achieved more and they did really well by getting us one song... and this one song, is probably enough for most people. I honestly don't know what they could have done to have a more lasting impact on the world because at least for me, the other stuff i listened to by them. Was kinda crap.
Please correct my spelling / grammer and be mean when you are doing it.
And if you know of any other bands that impacted your life with one song but were horrible on all the rest of them.... please post them here.

It is a great piece however just like Unsung by helmet it turns out that it was the only one to hit out of the album
good choice... everyone remembers that song "wipeout" haha.
Sometimes, one song is enough. One song can contain all the words which trigger nolstagia and at the same time motivates us to hustle hard. An album is good, however just a song from a great artist can be better than another artist's entire album. No doubt "Unsung" by Helmet was ubiquitous.
I once listened to this one-time wonder track by the EMF band. It was titled "unbelievable".(1990). It had a whole bunch of lyrics in the verses, however the hook was really nice. I learnt the band collapsed later on.

It's good you have heard of them. How about the Cascades band's one time hit track that they literally wrote during a thunderstorm. If I recall correctly, the title of the track is "rhythm of the rain". It was released in the realy 1980s

I tossed the album long time ago right after I got over my intense crush on this "surfer girl" that shut me down and broke my young heart. I would listen to this song and imagine my life with this chic. Hehehe..so stupid and so young. I was about 15. I guess not being able to drive or surf killed my chances.

Sir its really amazing post about helmet but most important you choiced a horrible touch song which rejected by rest its really horrible but i like it sometimes you are asking another band song horrible that is .Nirvana band. Song 1991 release its totally horrible for rest but i like its thrashing voice you will listen you will find may be touching
if friend there are many bands that only succeed with 1 song in the music market, here is an example of the group "The calling" that had a hit hit called "where you will go" after this the group had no more success ... maybe this was the case with "Helmet"
For some people who often spend their free time listening to music, or reading literary works especially poetry, is a fun thing than spending time playing Social Media. But whether to read poetry while listening to music that of course the music was themed poetry to add syahdunya when reading poetry. Not music Rock or Metal theme of course so as not to break head and mood.
