Los Ingleses Beach in Maldonado, Uruguay!

From a balcony a group of Englishmen drank tea watching the bay from 17th street called "The Straits" at the beginning of the century, later giving the name "Beach of the English" (Playa ede los Ingleses) to this small beach located near the port.

Due to its composition of fine sands and narrow rocks it is potentially dangerous for bathers and, in turn, it does not have a lifeguard service. The construction of the rambla, previously nonexistent has taken away space, because now it has become a small rocky triangle.

However the Beach of the Los Ingleses is a very favorable bend for fishing and when there is a west wind is a very sheltered and pleasant.
