El Chiringo beach in Punta del Este, Uruguay!

From Punta Ballena to Punta de El Chileno you can find El Chiringo beach. Along with the visit of the beach there also are coordinated tours and walks along the shore of Punta Ballena and "Las Grutas" famous for their beautiful paths between rocks.

"Las Grutas" were recovered as a protected public space in the eighties since they previously functioned as a disco.

The walks along the beach are ideal in the morning as the early sunsets leave soon the beach in the shadows. It is very sheltered when the wind blows from the northwest, where the corner created by the closeness of the Sierra de la Ballena protects the place.
