One Picture And One Story Week #40

Assalamualaikum!

How are you all. I hope everyone will be fine and well. I am also happy and doing well in my life. First of all I want to appreciate @suboohi for organising this wonderful contest. Through this contest we can share the pictures that hold stories behind it. People have alot of memories related to some specific specific pictures. They can express their feelings and stories by this contest.

I shared this picture of homeless children that are sitting on the road side eating fries. I was standing near a fries stall, buying some fries, when I saw these three children, about 8, 10 years old. Their dirty clothes and mut on their faces showed how hard their life would be. I feel so sad to see them. I went close to them and asked them their names. On of them replied to me while the younger one kept staring on the food.

I asked these children where are their parents and where they live. They said they don't have a place to called home. They wandered on Streets and also sleep on the street. They said their parents are beggars and that's how they are living. They also told me that they are shifted there from Karachi because they had some sort of fight there with some people and they also tried to kill them that's why they left their home and came here. I feel so sad for them. Their small hands held fries like they are afraid to let go of this small pleasure. They were talking to one another, sharing their food and laughing. Their laughter showed us that even in tough time we should not be sad rather then we should spend our life happily. I gave them some money. I know this could not be enough, but I can't do nothing. By seeing them I realised how hard their life would be with no escape from the poverty.

I wish I could do something to help them have a better life where they can have all the facilities of life and they can live their life like other children.
The image of these children will always stay with me as a reminder of how some people have to spend their life in extreme poverty while some are enjoying their lives at their best and have all the facilities. I hope someone will hear the silent cries of these homeless children and offer them the helping hand and a chance to build a better future. These children need to go to schools not to beg on the roads.
