Tell me about a time you delivered an excellent customer service.
First of all, I always try to deliver the best service. I do it, because I understand that everyone benefits from that. The guest, the restaurant, and also I benefit from delivering excellent service, since happy guests typically tip better. To speak about specific situations, I remember guests from Africa that did not talk English, only Spanish. We did not have Spanish menu in our restaurant. What I did was that I came and read the menu in their language–I speak Spanish. They were very happy with the service to say the least.
I have never worked in a restaurant, neither had a different position in customer service. Therefore I do not have a direct experience. However, I understand that guest is always right and that we need to do our best to make them satisfied. I would approach every guest with smile, and carefully listen to their needs, and try to deliver. I hope to be successful and I hope that my behavior will motivate many people to come back to this place, and spend more money in the restaurant.
