When spot does not matter anymore. Fixed Price List

in #steemsilvergold8 years ago (edited)

Dear Stackers,

Because occasionally I buy higher premium gold (ducats mainly) I receive each year a Fixed Price List of the Dutch Royal Mint.

What is a Fixed Price List ?

The list is a catalogue of their numismatic coins. The price is fixed and does not or no longer depend on the spot price.
It is clear that most of them are carrying a premium of multiple times the spot value.

Let's look at some examples (text below each picture)

He, a 1609 lion dollar. The digitalized restrike of 2017 and now 2018 are a huge succes.

1 crown 1818 mentioning FDC but graded "UNC details " so this is a (price) issue as "details" is not good.

By my friend's experience in the Canadian coin market it would be extremely rare for a dealer to buy your coin near "Catalogue Price" Catalogue values here tend to be over exaggerated except for the very very rare graded coins.

Thank you for your continued support of SteemSilverGold

I love catalogs. They show us amazing coins, those that we have no money to buy...

I like your design.
