Care Package- Special Delivery For My Mom
My parents are the most wonderful people on the Earth. Always there when you need a shoulder. Always ready to fight for their children.
As they get older, less physical and spend their 'golden years' with ailments my heart goes out to them. They worked for decades only to retire with physical ailments that could be eased... so me being me, and always wanted to help others, I offered up some of my herbs to my mom for her tea.
I took her some catnip and chamomile to help with anxiety and as an anti-inflammatory treatment.
After about one week, she noticed a difference. She said she was calmer, had a few less aches from her arthritis and bad hips and was able to sleep better at night. SCORE!
So this week as I was dehydrating more herbs I added raspberry leaf, mint and lemon balm to her care package.
We are going to see them tomorrow after church and I'm going to let her try a few more herbs so she can create a tea mixture.
I love my parents beyond words and would do anything for them. So if dehydrating a few extra herbs every week is what I need to do, then I shall.
Plus we are stopping at our local grocery store where I bought this tea diffuser for my sweet iced tea concoctions, so she can steep her cups of tea without the hassle of cheesecloth.

Thank you! The way I look at it, my parents always took care of me and my brothers... now it's time to turn the tables and make sure they are ok.
I hear that. Hopefully our children have similar thoughts when it's our turn.
