MinnowsBible #4 - Comment Like a Boss, Make Your Comments Stand Out

in #blog6 years ago (edited)

The responses I have been getting on #minnowsbible series has been nothing but awesome. I am motivated...so I can't stop. And I won't stop! I don't even know how to stop. Okay let me get serious.
Today we will be looking at how to make your comment standout. You have to start commenting like a boss that you are. If you are part of the ecosystem and putting in some values...Trust me, you are the fucking boss!

  1. I have mentioned the first tip in the last post. In case you missed it, quoting a part of the post that interest you most shows you read the post and found it interesting. You can quote a part of a post by highlighting that part, copy and paste it in the comment box and type '>' IN FRONT of it and leave a space.

  2. As much as I don't like using picture in my comments but it is a great way of passing a message across especially funny messages. So use picture for the best effect.

  3. Space out your comments, spacing appropriately makes your comment look like a must read among the lot of comments.

  4. Italicize or Borden a part of your comment to emphasize it. These give special attention to a part of the comment you want the writer or the readers to take note of.

  5. Put some life into your comment by using smileys or words that expressed how you are feeling.

  6. Mention the poster name in your comment. We all develop a kind of connection to the people that call us by our names plus you will be in the poster mentions in case he missed your comment.

  7. Let's put it all together in an example. I am going to use a post from my good friend @lemmybe titled love is the foundation from which all goodness flow, happy Valentine day. It is a short post using zappl but has deep meaning.

  8. My comment without using any of tips above will look like.

It is in human nature to always want something in return for every thing and every time they give. True love is giving with no expectations of getting anything in return. But we are humans after all, we naturally tend to be selfish unless we control that urge to be. But I must loving and been loved in return is one of the best feelings anyone can have. Great post.

9 I hope you agree with me, it is a good comment. But is does not look great. In an ocean of comments, it is just like another comment.

10 Now let's make it stand out...

The glory of life is to love, not to be loved;;to serve, not to be served;to give, not to get....

It is in human nature to always want something in return for every thing and every time they give.

True love is giving with no expectations of getting anything in return. But we are humans after all, we naturally tend to be selfish unless we control that urge to be.

But I must admit loving and been loved in return is one of the best feelings anyone can have.

Another Great post...

Well done @lemmybe

11 Compare the first and second comment. You can easily see which is attractive and easy on the eyes and mind.

12 In case you are asking how I formatted the bold, italicized and bold italicised the comment. Here is how - * italic *, ** bold **, *** italic bold **. Remove the spaces in between.

13 I will make post on all the format code in Markdown style that you will be needing in your comments and posts very soon.

Thank you for reading once again.

This is just too awesome, bro. You are doing a really good job taking the newbies through the hacks of successful steemit experience. With holistic examples, you are revealing the steemit secrets.

I remember then it was tough getting hold of information that will improve our experience here, we just plunged in head on and information only stumbled on by chance. But here, you have not only taught us, you also gave us a bible to hold on to and refer to anytime.

I'm honoured by your mention, my friend.

#MinnowBible is my own little way of giving back to the community and help the newcomers especially to have a strong foundations.
