Daily quest, a weird battle and rewards

Today I had the death splinter. It was an up and down fight to finish, to be fair I did have some real world distractions while trying to complete my daily quest. I had this battle and when the teams were presented I thought I was toast because I was setup for magic attacks and got an almost non-magic team.
