Pua is the cute and adorable pet pig of Moana from the famous Disney movie Moana. Pua in the movie of Moana means flower in Hawaiian, Yes from Hawaiian's dialect because Moana is a Disney Princess based in Hawaii but the name of Moana's pig (Pua) is derived from the word of "puka" or pig in English.

Pua is the best friend of the leading character in Moana, I bet Moana counted her pet Pua as her one of her biggest supporter in the town. Pua always acts as if he is a dog but he's a pig though (haha). He was there when Moana attempt to go beyond the barrier or in the reefs together with his pet pig Pua but they failed on their first attempt then Moana's grandma name Tala put blame on Moana's pig mischievously.

So when Moana set sail again to go beyond the reefs this time she left her friend pua, then when Moana left the village Pua is not seen again til Moana got home feeling accomplished on her mission and also Pua was there feeling enthusiastic for his best friend to arrive.

Work in Progress

I created an oblong for the shape of his nose and 2 circles for his nostrils. Did it look like a cassette or a button? haha

20180212_154931-01.jpeg
For his eyes, I draw like a dwarfs hat since his right eye is covered by black and a small circle for his left eye and also his smile, still not the same (purposely).

20180212_155653-01.jpeg
He looks like piglet (a friend of pooh) for me because of the shape of his face, then I added his eyebrow and then his two ears.

20180212_160054-01.jpeg
This is for his body and his feet.

20180212_161751-01.jpeg
So this is my outline for pua, After his body and his feet I draw his backline and his eyes, then I put some trace for the black colors that I'm going to color.

20180212_162228-01.jpeg
I started tracing or inking his nose first then the rest of his body.

20180212_164009-01.jpeg
I continued on shading his feet and his eyes (specifically his left eye but still I also used technical pen on his right eye)

I put a filter on this one since this is the only picture that I shade and also I put a filter to make it look clearly even though not hundred percent.

20180212_165246-01.jpeg
Done tracing or inking.

20180212_170326-01.jpeg
I used my watercolor pencil for his right eye. By transforming the ordinary color into a vivid color I dip the tip of the watercolor in the water.and I colored it on pua's right eye.

20180212_171108-01.jpeg
Then I continued down on his body.

20180212_171524-01.jpeg
I'm done coloring black for his body, his right eye and a little on his right ear.

20180212_171815-01.jpeg
I used my artist coloring pencil for my first base in color pink since it has a light color of pink.

20180212_171914-01.jpeg
For a darker but vivid color of pink, I used my watercolor pencil.

20180212_172802-01.jpeg
And I'm done for coloring pink.

20180212_180556-02.jpeg
I used color gray and silver for this. Silver for a lighter tone of his color and I used color gray watercolor pencil for a little bit darker on color gray.

20180212_180542-01.jpeg
So this is my final outcome for my drawing of Pua from Moana.
