Word for Today:
"Therefore, since we have been made right in God’s sight by faith, we have peace with God because of what Jesus Christ our Lord has done for us. Romans 5vs1."

Inspiring Commentary:

Jesus also gives me access by faith to the grace of God which keeps me going and to the glory that is to come.

But once I put my trust in Him, it should produce good works: salvation comes by faith, and likewise sanctification – the grace to live according to God’s word comes by faith. Works does not give a man access to salvation or victory over sin, but embracing God’s salvation and keying into His sanctifying power by faith produces good works.

The new life in Christ must be lived by faith; this produces joy in our hearts. We rejoice in the hope of sharing God’s glory, we rejoice also in the daily challenges we face because they produce in us character, and the character produces hope which does not put us to shame, because God’s love is poured out in our hearts through the Holy Spirit who lives in us.

God made this provision while we were yet sinners and weak. We contributed nothing to get this. Faith is what we need to keep on living. Our daily victory is achieved through the life of Jesus Christ and not through our human struggles and efforts.

We are reconciled to God by Christ’s life. We live daily by His grace through faith.

Prayer:
Lord, thank you for the provision you have made for me in Christ Jesus. Help me to keep leaning on His grace alone.
