what does Valentine's means to you

Valentine's day as we all know is a special day set aside to show love to our love ones emotionally or as the case may be. "To me Valentine's Day is reaching out to others and do more extra to my special one".

I really don't have so much interest in this special day because so many people today only show love to those they love only on this special day, we fail to realize that love is not a one day affair. All the days of our lives we are mediated to show love. So many people go out putting on the flying colors, married couple that fail to show love to each other only do so on this special day, lovers also go out only on this special day. Love is oneness with your own self and with others. It can be with self, those you know or strangers. Love is an all time affairs that need to be celebrated every single day of our life.

who should we show love to

Good question, biblically from the account of Jesus he went about doing good and showed love not only specific set or kind of people, but to everyone most especially the needy. we are God image and likeness, Helping someone who doesn't have the ability to give back in return it one good way to show love, so we are expected to show love not only to our family members or our lover, but we are to go out show love to the less privilege, the homeless, the fatherless and motherless children, those that have no family neither do they have love ones like you and I.

how do we show love

The Bible recorded that God so love us and that is why he had to sacrifice his only begotten son for us so that we may receive freedom from bondage and sin,"love".

There are several ways we can show love, One of which you can visit the orphanage home by giving them gifts, support them financially in the little way you can, clothes, shoe and other materials things that seem not useful to you but are still very much ok, you can give it out to the needy, also you can prepare a nice meal and feed the hungry. Remember a cup of water you give to the needy is like an ocean.

So therefore I encourage you today to go out there and show love to someone, remember the more you love, the more you fulfill your purpose of existence
