Gender, ethnicity, and age are the first factors of stratification inequality. Along with this, there are marginal groups and layers in each society that are characterized by a specific way of life and have a low social status. These are a small part of the long-term unemployed, a large part of the Roma ethnicity, and many others. No less important and up-to-date task of social work is the integration of disadvantaged people (disabled and disabled).

There is the so-called licit discrimination that fulfills the role of social control. The actions of those who are unable to play social roles are limited. Non-legitimate discrimination aims to control certain groups of people (disabled) from social life. Discrimination is a social affirmation of the various types of inequality.Inequality can be like: personality (individual differences); inequality in opportunities; inequality in the results (unequal assessment of equal, equal actions); inequality in the chances of reaching socially approved goals, which is manifested in particular in the low educational and professional mobility of the disabled. In some countries in modern the modern world there are real obstacles in the implementation of the rights of the disabled, of labor and well-being. This exacerbates the problem of social inequality.

The social frustration of these people helps to isolate and marginalize them. The aim of social work is the social support of the individual, his / her integration in society, increasing his / her ability to self-solve the problems, changing the social environment. Restoring a sense of self-dignity, respect for oneself and others.
