Impressive building technique and a great thing that these places are still standing after hundreds of years, but.. The question that immediately came to my mind is; did it actually keep the mice out? I have seen many mice while living and working in Amsterdam and these tiny guys seem to get in and out of everywhere, even on vertical and slippery objects.
