3D Modeling a Star Wars Snowspeeder - Progress 7th Feb
Today I fired up Modo once more and continued work on the T-47 Air Speeder - also known as the Snowspeeder from The Empire Strikes Back.
I created the vent and the two small openings in the front of the craft and also tidied up some of the geometry on the canopy.
Turning my attention to the rear, I added all the exhausts on the back of the engines and changed the pivot points on the bottom flaps so they can now be rotated up and down from the point they connect with the underwings.
Next I separated the front from the rear of the canopy, then adjusted the pivot point so it rotates up from the correct edge.
Finally I created the air intake / scoop underneath the speeder. As usual, I rendered all of these shots inside Keyshot Pro.
Thanks for looking and for checking out my progress.

Awesome work so far! What are you planning to do with the model when it’s done?
Thanks. This is just a hobby, no plans after it's modeled textured.
Beautifully made! I got one die cast of those and i love it. Great job!!
Thank you!
Pretty cool. When do you start texturing it? Are you going to be doing inside the cockpit too? Maybe a pilot?
Once it is all modeled, then I will texture it. Yup, I will do all the inside of the cockpit and include pilot & gunner.
so awesome I love these things and its part of the best star wars battle which takes place in Episode V The Empire Strikes Back!
I'm interested in 3ds max.
Thanks for sharing
I have tried 3DS Max but am far more comfortable in Modo.
