Steemhomework for the week! - Edward de Bono.
Dr. Edward de Bono is a great writer and psychologist, qualified by the University of Oxford, was born in 1933, in the Republic of Malta. Most of his works are based on the premise of learning and teaching thinking. Edward de Bono is one of the few people in history that can be said to have had a great impact on the way people think. For many reasons, it could be said that he is the most internationally known thinker. He has written numerous books with translations in more than 25 languages.
Traditional thinking has to do with analysis, judgment and argumentation. In a stable world this was sufficient because it was enough to identify normal situations and apply normal solutions. This is no longer the case in a changing world where normal solutions may not work. It is important to move forward as the world does.
There is a great need for creative and constructive thinking. Many of the problems in the world do not require simple solutions, but complex ones that merit leaving your comfort zone or habit to be more successful. Perhaps what is so unique about Edward de Bono is that his work ranges from teaching 5 year olds in elementary schools to working with top executives in the largest corporations in the world.
Development tools:
De Bono has created several tools to improve exploration skills and attitudes, such as:
P.N.I (Positive, Negative, Interesting) It serves to make decisions. Since according to the situation, you must place the positive, negative and interesting that would be for you the change.
CTF (Consider all the Factors) Raises that it is necessary to consider all the factors before deciding or planning. After considering all the factors, only the most important ones must be chosen. Omitting some factors could be negative in the development of a project.
CyS (Consequences and Sequels) Every new invention, project, law, or decision, brings consequences that can be observed for a long time afterwards. When thinking about an action, the consequences must always be considered: Immediate consequences, short-term consequences, medium-term and long-term consequences.

Edward had the joy of publishing more that 25 books, being Six Thinking Hats (1985), one of the most outstanding. It facilitates group work in addition to decision making. Each hat symbolizes a way of seeing, a specific way of thinking, that does not care so much to describe what is happening, but that it tries to glimpse what is to come.
Edward de Bono has provided the methods and tools for this new thinking. It is the undisputed world leader in what may be the most important field of all in the future: constructive and creative thinking.
Good writing, success always for you. @gmaktub
