Weekly Report 16/09/2020 - 22/09/2020 Italy Country Representative - Steem Greeter Team

Here is my first weekly report concerning the activities of Country Representative for Italy and member of the Steem Greeters team in the Fairy section.

It was a week of setting for some new things I didn't know, but I started learning the mechanics of this role anyway, also thanks to the help of my colleagues.

Steemit Italian Community: the situation

Our community has experienced moments of difficulty in the last period, after having counted over 500 active users on the platform in recent years, thanks to the work of the @Steempostitalia group.

In June 2020, the Community Italy was created, in which we are trying to bring together all those who write in Italian, but we also welcome those who are originally from other nations and in their posts talk about Italy.

For about two months we have been doing scouting, training and information activities for Italians who gravitate inside, but also outside the platform and the world of cryptocurrencies. Some results, albeit slowly, begin to show.

The community is growing numerically in a significant way.
The interesting fact is that starting from scratch, in just under 90 days, 246 subscribers were reached. These are not stellar numbers, but they demonstrate a certain interest from users in our activities.

The number of active users in the last week is 27, here they are.

About 11% of total users are currently active in the community.

The target is to increase this ratio, trying to have as many users as possible who publish in Italian or in double language.

@Italygame Team

In July 2020, together with @sardrt and @mikitaly, I founded the @italygame team, which in addition to participating in the second season of the Diary Game, is proposing contests and initiatives that are achieving moderate success so far.

After having concluded the contest I Love Italy, which got really good feedback , the third week of the BEST USER OF THE WEEK CONTEST is in progress. This is the initiative with which every week the best user of the community is awarded with 5 SBD.

Italygame participates in @shortsegments Country Curator Project as Italian reference account.

Curation

Even before becoming a Country Representative for Italy, I took care of curating the best content published by italian users.

I do this with my personal account, with my curation trail top.rewards.club and as a curator for @symbionts - @ecosynthesizer, a group that is working very hard to help communities and deserves to be supported to the fullest.

Projects: Facebook and ItaTutorial

We are working on opening the official Facebook page of the Italian Steemit community.

We think it can be a good way to make ourselves known also outside and try to involve people who do not yet know our platform or the world of cryptocurrencies in general.

Another initiative that we will develop soon is ItaTutorial.

We will publish a series of tutorials in Italian to explain the main procedures, rules and mechanisms of the steem blockchain.

Most likely these posts will be published on the @italygame account and will be available to the Steemit Team and to all users who want to translate them to use them.

Steem Greeter activity

I was assigned by @cryptokannon to the Greeters Fairy Team, which in addition to me is made up by @tocho2, @belenguerra and @besticofinder.
The aim is to welcome newcomers by carrying out specific searches on #introduceyourself or similar tags.
Once new users have been identified, we invite them to join the Newcomers'Community and the Achievement Program, so that they can acquire all the skills necessary to embark on their adventure.
Also, to encourage new users, we have the ability to support the most deserving posts with the @steemcurator03 account.
