Hello everyone!

Today is a very special day...

Like so many children in Italy, my Leonardo started his school year this morning!

We are really excited here, as this is his first day of kindergarten and it marks a very important milestone in his life.
I believe it is the threshold between being a child and becoming a little man, because, even if it is only the beginning, he is embarking on his path towards growth and discovery of the world.

However, we are all very apprehensive, given that schools have closed since the beginning of March and are only reopening now, after the Coronavirus emergency.

We will therefore be very alert, because it is well known that the chances of contagion among children at school are much easier than those that can occur in other environments.
In this regard, the director of the school reassured us, communicating all the safety measures that will be put in place and all the new sanitizing equipment that the school is endowed with.
It will be a situation to be monitored, because I believe that this is really an important test to see if we can resume almost at full speed all our usual activities.

In any case, today I want to wipe these thoughts away and I want Leo to enjoy his first day of kindergarten to the fullest.

He had been to school before, but only for a little over a month, last year.
Then he had suspended with the birth of his little brother, as we wanted to avoid that any illnesses, even light ones, could be a problem for the little one.

Then, in March, we intended to make him resume, it was not possible due to the events that we all know well.

And so, he too was very excited last night...we talked a lot about this return and all the good and beautiful things that await him at school. Then we packed his Cars backpack and the Paw Patrol cup, which he specifically chose from among the various ones he has.

And then this morning we got up early, had breakfast all together and, full of energy and good humor, we left for this new and exciting adventure!

Buongiorno a tutti!

Oggi è un giorno davvero molto speciale...

Come tanti bambini in Italia, il mio Leonardo stamattina ha iniziato il suo anno scolastico!

Siamo davvero emozionati qui, perché questo è il suo primo giorno di scuola materna e segna una tappa molto importante della sua vita.
Credo che sia la soglia di passaggio tra l'essere un bimbo e diventare un piccolo ometto, perché, anche se è solo l'inizio, sta intraprendendo il suo cammino verso la crescita e la scoperta del mondo.

Noi tutti siamo comunque molto in apprensione, visto che le scuole sono chiuse dall'inizio di marzo e riaprono soltanto adesso, dopo l'emergenza Coronavirus.

Saremo quindi davvero molto in allerta, perché si sa bene che le possibilità di contagio tra i bambini a scuola sono molto più facili rispetto a quelle che si possono verificare in altri ambienti.
A tal proposito, la direttrice della scuola ci ha rassicurati, comunicandoci tutte le misure di sicurezza che saranno messe in atto e tutte le nuove strumentazioni igienizzanti di cui la scuola si è dotata.
Sarà una situazione da monitorare, perché credo che questo sia davvero un importante banco di prova per capire se potremo riprendere quasi a pieno ritmo tutte le nostre attività solite.

In ogni caso, oggi voglio spazzare via questi pensieri e desidero che Leo si goda alla grande il suo primo giorno di asilo.

Era già stato a scuola, ma solo per poco più di un mese l'anno scorso.
Poi aveva sospeso con la nascita del fratellino, in quanto volevamo evitare che eventuali malattie, anche leggere, potessero essere un problema per il piccolino.

Quando poi a marzo, avevamo intenzione di farlo riprendere, non è stato possibile per le vicende che tutti noi conosciamo bene.

E così, anche lui ieri sera era molto emozionato...abbiamo parlato tanto di questo ritorno e di tutte le cose belle che lo aspettano a scuola. Poi abbiamo preparato il suo zainetto di Cars e il bicchiere dei Paw Patrol, che lui ha scelto espressamente tra i vari che ha.

E poi stamattina ci siamo alzati di buonora, abbiamo fatto colazione tutti insieme e, pieni di energia e di buon umore, siamo partiti per questa nuova ed emozionante avventura!
