Some things for the flag of USA

Hello steemians ! Today I 'll write some things about the USA flag I learned recently too. First of all this flag represents the freedom of the United States. The flag of the United States has 7 red stripes and 6 white stripes. These 13 stripes stand for the original thirteen colonies when the flag(original Betsy Ross flag) was like :

 

 In the top left there is a blue margin inside of which there is 1 white star for every state represented. When a new state joins the United States a new flag is made with an extra star. The new flag is first flown on the "4th of July", Independence Day.

The last states to join so far the United States were Alaska and Hawaii in 1959. Alaska joined on 3 January 1959, so the new flag with 49 stars was used from 4 July 1959. Hawaii joined on 21 August 1959 so the flag with 50 stars that is used today was not flown until 4 July 1960.

The final design as we know it today with the current 50 star American flag was Robert' s  G. Heft. He was 17 years old at the time and created the flag design in 1958 as a high school class project while living with his grandparents in Ohio. He received a B− on the project. According to Heft, his history teacher honored their agreement to change his grade to an A after his design was selected..
