👩🏫👩🏫 LESSONS TO LEARN FROM ANCIENT FOLKLORE/HELPING CHILDREN BUILD GOOD MORALS/10% PAYOUT TO STEEMKIDS
Hello kids, parents and guardians. Great to be with you all today.
I just came by this community and found it to be very interesting. I love kids a lot and I am always happy when my grand children comes home to visit us. I and my wife are always a little saddened when it takes long for them to visit us.
Whenever our children and our grand children comes around, it is always a happy moment. We play around with them, buy them balloons and anything that will make them happy.
FOLKLORES
One of the major ways I use in entertaining them is with folklores that teaches a lot of lessons that will help them In their personal and private life.
So kids, I am going to tell you one of those stories. These are normally bed time stories.
If it was back on the days, it is done late in evening under the light of the full moon.
It is entitled I am Mr All of You.
This story is about the tortoise and the birds.
Once upon a time, the birds had a meeting in the sky and so many food and drinks will be available for entertainment.
The tortoise wanted to go, but could not since it had no wings. So he met the birds and begged the birds for wings. The birds agreed to his request and contributed feathers for him
Thus, he was able to form his own wings.
On the departure day, he flew along with the birds to attend the meeting. After the meeting, it was now time for entertainment.
Each bird mentioned it's name and when it got to the tortoise he said his name is I am Mr All of You.
No problem with that. Everyone was happy. So when the enjoyment started, he asked all of them to wait, reminding them that he is All of Them. That none of the birds should touch or eat anything set in the table.
All the birds stood and watched him devour all the food on the table not living any single one.
The birds grew annoyed of his selfishness and greed and retrieved all their feathers they lent to him back. They now flew back to their various abodes.
The tortoise was now left with no feather to fly back. He begged them but to no avail.
Therefore, he had no other option than to crash-land from the sky and his shell broke into pieces. He now managed to pick them and sewed them together.
That is why the Tortoise have a broken shell till today.
Morale of the story
Kindness is a wonderful quality each of us should cultivate. The birds displayed such quality by helping the tortoise.
Greed is a deadly act. It can cause us to develop pride and haughtiness, which only leads to our downfall. That was the true in the case of the Tortoise. He also paid dearly for it.
Self-centered way of life only makes us people's enemies. We should always live a peaceful life with people around us.
You can see the morale of my story. This helps to teach my grand children good morals in life.
Hope you enjoyed it as well kids. I will be coming up with other folklores as we move on.
