WHY TIME IS MORE PRECIOUS THAN GOLD
"Time is precious." "Time is gold." "Time lost is never found again." And so many, many more cliches about "time." Yet I came to realize why time is precious, far precious than gold.
If only time is money, then I'd be saving it so I can withdraw it when 24 hours is not enough. If only time is gold, then I'd be hording gold bars so it won't slip away. Yes, time will never be saved nor be used later when we are running out of it.
I cannot borrow time from someone else nor can somebody else give it to me. It is 24 hours each day, no more, no less. Everyone's equal. And that's the very reason why I should never, ever procrastinate--the primary thief of time. Rather I should always "buy out time," and be goal oriented. This realization motivated me not to squander my time, so that when I'm old and gray and look back how I spent my time, my life, I'd be happy that I made use of my time to the full.
Can't wait for the Great Timekeeper, Jehovah God, to give life everlasting. Maybe then we will never be too concerned of the way we use our time.
