Ilocos Region is one of the main producers of garlic in the Philippines. In fact, this white garlic is named as Ilocos white, which is the most common variety of garlic planted for commercial production in the country. And I can't believe how large their production is until I saw an array of stalls like this along the road.

The only product they sell are garlic and onions, nothing more. And it comes in sacks and bundles!

This is the first time I saw so many garlic and onions in my life. And I love how intricately it was braided! Have you seen something like this?

They have the red onions and the white ones.

Many say that these stalls sell the cheapest onions and garlic in the country. And no wonder because it is their own produce. And they have acres of acres of plantation at the foot of the mountain (below the road).

I know this is a short blog. But I want to share this with you all, because I believe that this is quite unique.

I hope you find their way of selling garlic and onions interesting, as I do.

This is my entry to #MarketFriday, initiated by the ever generous @dswigle.

One of the most important ingredient in food cooking

Yes, it is! Hardly a dish without them. 😊😉

Thank you so much for a wonderful post for #MarketFriday! Those bags of onions and garlic are exactly what I need! I use so much in my cooking, it would be best to buy in bulk.

I love the way they braid it and hang it up. What a convenient way to store the garlic!

It may be short, but, it is a wonderful post! Thank you so much for participating!

Upvoted and will Resteem later.

Tip!

Yes, we bought a sack for our consumption. It was cheaper than buying it from somewhere else.

The way they braid it is really interesting. It's neat and space-friendly!

Thank you for initiating this fun #MarketFriday, Denise. Next time I will have a longer post, promise! 😉😊
