Day 3: Lockdown
I am not bored with the lockdown. To tell you the truth, I feel the opposite. There are just too many things to do inside the house, too much going on in the garden.
One of the few things that keeps me busy, and is keeping my sanity, is this "patch of paradise" in front of our house.
When I was clearing the plot that have been overgrown by sweet potatoes, I discovered that there were already roots ready for harvesting. I wasn't expecting these ones! And I was very happy!!!
Last week, I planted some okra seeds. Today, I found them sprouting! Look at that! I am soooo amazed beyond words. Garden work keeps me busy during this crazy lockdown because of the coronavirus. And I think this will keep me busy as I will be planting some more. We never know what the future holds, if our government would continue with this lockdown after the said time or eliminate it completely. So no matter what, we need to plant some seeds now so we can reap what we sow! And with Jehovah's blessings, these will grow, for sure. ❤
The squash are also bearing flowers. Yes, we let it climb the tree, and hopeful that it gives us fruit in due time. Am quite excited for it as this is the first time we grow squash.
We have two squash vines actually. One is climbing on the tree and the other one is right next to our front door.
Mom wanted to kill it at first, but changed her mind, seeing how huge the leaves were. And we never know if this is Jehovah's provision for us in this time of crisis, right? So there it goes, slowly but healthily thriving.
With nothing more I can do but to be productive at home, I think I will not be able to show more than gardening and indoor life. Or maybe use stock pictures, reminiscing those good old days. 😝
Anyhow, I want to be positive. And wanted to stay as such!
I am also hoping that my steem friends, or shall I say, Hive friends are safe. 😁
I keep my daily routine of bible reading, viewing videos that can strengthen my spirituality, and contacting friends who are sharing the same faith. These and more are what is keeping my sanity, and is keeping me happy actually.
What keeps you busy and happy while in lockdown?
