My day without Steem wasn't too affected really since I was out anyway.
i published a post in the morning, answered comments and the went out for lunch with a friend, a creative play afternoon and then a long walk along the seafront.
It was only when I got home that I found Steem down and faffed about in the evening because I wanted to put up another post.
It's interesting you say that working outside "helps" as I don't find that to be the case for me. Inside or outside what really makes the difference is spending less time in front of a computer screen.
I spend so many hours here I feel my life contracts as a result of it and I don't really notice until I get up and go out or stay in and do something creative. It doesn't really matter which so long as it is away from the screen. 😊

Well I hope that the issue for me isn't just being in front of a screen in general. If so, my plan to just buy a lighter laptop will be foiled. 😉 You are lucky for the timezone where you are given when the witnesses who tried to cut over to HF20 early did so.
Even if the issue turns out to be sitting in front of a screen in general @indigoocean maybe you will be able to get out and about more with your new lighter laptop. Perhaps you could go for a walk with it and then sit in the shade under a tree or something. 😁

The introvert in me struggles with the idea of "getting out more" vs "going into town as seldom as possible." But we'll see what retirement brings as it advances. This is all still new to me.
On the timezone, I think everything went down after you'd gotten through most of your day, but for me it went down before I got up. So the entire day I had no access.
Ah I see. No it went down late morning but as I as out all day I wan't affected by it until the evening.
Well that, and the fact that I couldn't buy some Steem as planned and then it shot up today. 😢
My picture of you "getting out more" was more wandering through the landscape, enjoying the surrounding and looking for a suitable spot to sit an work. Of course, interenet access might be a problem but you could just write. 😊
