Creating Space Leads To Plan - ULOG 002

Getting Ahead of Myself 😂

Continuing on from my Clutter Busting day yesterday, (click on the link if you missed my post about it) I worked with the same rotation schedule from first thing this morning until 5 o'clock this afternoon.

In blocks of 15 minutes I tackled:

Cleaning/decluttering my room - Steemit - Other Household stuff - Work

Today I found it harder going and as the hours wore on it got more and more difficult to get up from the computer when 15 minutes was up, but I persevered.

I only managed to clear 2 physical spaces in my room, one shelf and the paper tray. They took way longer than I anticipated but I'm happy that they are done.

As you can see I now have a lot of space on that shelf as I do on the one above which is out of shot.

Same with the paper tray.

And this got me thinking . . . maybe I could get rid of the paper tray and it's shelf and the shelf above permanently.

I could put a nice piece of art on the wall instead.

The paper tray was so dusty I was holding it outside the window to clean it when I dropped one of the trays and then a screw fell out. Maybe this is another sign that it's time for it to go.

And then, maybe I could remove the big desk and switch the single bed for a double so we'd have somewhere for couples to stay when they come to visit and then of course the room would need to be redecorated and the bed with the drawers swiched around with the other single bed which has no drawers . . . and so my mind went on.

Making space to put a double bed in here is actually not a bad idea though but for now, let's keep slowly working my way through this room, decluttering as much as possible and see where that leads.

Ooooo. I'm starting to feel a bit excited about the possibilities here. 😁

The best thing about tidying up is the anticipation of getting to mess it up again...

P.S.

If you're a religious person, please pray for my new tomato plants. The poor things are wilting and resemble me right out of the shower - "a wet rat". (Heavy Sigh)

Not for me @jaichai. When I tidy up I never want it to get into a mess again. 😁

I hope your tomato plants have picked up a bit.

Great progress. Goals are excellent motivators. The possibilities of changing the room are the hope that drives us. Now have a couple days off and enjoy the weekend :)

Not really a hope @steven-patrick. Nor really a drive. Just a momentary idea that crossed my mind. I've already moved on but, who knows, it might come back one I start decluttering again. 😁

Hope you're enjoying your weekend too!

Props to you in this:

I'm not really sure what this is @jaichai and I'm away from home at the moment so don't have much time on Steemit. I've made a note of the link so I can come back to it when I get home. 😊
