Color Challenge - Tuesday Orange - Carousel
Golden Gallopers Merry-Go-Round
This impressive carousel can be found on the sea front in Brighton, from Easter through September each year. It is called the Golden Gallopers and was built in 1888, although it's only been in Brighton since 1997.
At the end of the summer season the merry-go-round is taken apart so that essential repairs and renovations can be carried out. All parts are inspected for safety and it is repainted and re-varnished as needed.
You can just seen the Palace Pier in the background of the photo.

This just makes me feel like a child again. It's good to know they give safety an importance. It looks like nobody feels like riding it this time :D
There were a few kids on it @leeart but it was a wet, grey day so I'm not surprised it wasn't full. It will get busy now the sun has come out and it has warmed up a bit. 😁
hi, @gillianpearce! I vote blindly, it is possible that I will be able to see Your pictures tomorrow. Today during the day I have constant problems with the website. I managed to get in in the evening and only steemitstage.com. But, I have no images and only text. I hope that everything will be restored :(

I've noticed a few times that images aren't rendering in my feed as well. But mostly it's been OK. I haven't need to to resort to steemitstage.com.
