As I celebrate my first month in Steemit, I would like to throw a challenge to my fellow Steemians and in particular my followers. With the support I have had with the Steemit  community, there is gold amongst us. So, Steemians, where is your gold?

As I grew up, I happened to interact with an old man who has a wide range of rare ancient coins. These coins had heads of emperors stamped on metal, gold or silver. He had coins from different periods in history. To him, these meant a period of his time, he cherished and treasured them.

I have been around staring at my computer screen, trying to figure out stock prices, cryptocurrency rates and all that crap. Every time I look at stocks and the cryptos, the memory of the ancient coins come to my mind. I realize, am holding the old coins in my hands and only feeling their weight. This I realize now, it was pure wealth! So where is your gold at Steemit?

It is about time you wake up from dreaming and believe wealth, physical, virtual or digital…

There is gold in your pocket through the Steemit wallet! There is demand for digital currency and most of it is out of reach to the ordinary person. A simple upvote, comment or post leads to your gold. The more people come onboard, the more you earn and more gold in your pocket.

Like my old man, do not keep your old coins for memories. Earn and trade with peers and start building your reputation and a name in the cryptocurrency sphere. Just like gold, the more the coins are mined, the rare they become. Discover your gold by making the digital coin scarce.

When you are glued on your computer screen looking at the price of Bitcoin, Ethereum and Ripple, you are not chasing after your gold on Steemit; you are looking at how other major players are performing and yet, you are not creating your own gold. They started with the $0.01 that you get when I upvote you due to my low Steem power! 

What is more profitable; following the charts or creating your own chart?

It is highly competitive for the minnows! You need to add more focus on growing your reputation. Follow more and you shall be followed. (Hope you will not put me on mute after reading this). Gold price might follow  the rules of inflation, you are dealing with the volatile digital currency, these are worlds apart; the meeting point is scarcity and value!

You are one step ahead at Steemit. There are no negative interest rates. You are different from my old man and his ancient but valuable coins (Read Fiat Currency). You are no longer giving the banks your wealth, you own what you have with your digital currency.
