Achievement 2: Basic security on steam by @gift08

Good morning to all, it's time for me to write about my achievement 2 , my first one has been verified since.

This second achievement is all about our steemit keys and their interpretation. Also from this achievement I learn how to transfer and power up steem.

Have you retrieve all your keys on steemit?

Yes I already retrieved all my steemit keys and saved them well because they are part of my important documents.

Do you know each of these key functions and restrictions?

Yes.

• The master key is the head of all the keys, it can be used in the wallet for logging in and making transactions. It can be used to change all other keys as well in case anything happens to them.

• The owner key is almost like the master key, it can also be used to change all other keys so it's important that the key is stored properly.

• The POSTING key is used for our social activities like posting and things related to it, such as commenting, resteeming posts, editing post, casting votes and the rest

• The active key is required for the wallet, to be used for making transfers and power up and any other thing done in the wallet

• Memo key is for encryption and decrypting of messages that are sent privately

How do you plan to keep your master password?

My master key has been saved safely both online and offline because my daughter told me i need to write it down.

Do you know how to transfer your steem token to another steem user account?

Yes I already know how to do it. You can see below how I demonstrate it

• I enter or log in to the wallet using the active or master key of my account

• While in the wallet I'll click on the balance of steem that i have and options will pop up

• Then i select transfer

• Type in the username of the person I'm transferring to and also the amount in the second box

• Then I'll click on transfer and that's it

Do you know how to power up your steem

To power up steem is also as simple as transferring the steem. It takes the same process and slightly different ending

• After logging in to wallet and clicking on steam balance we select power up among the options.

• Type the amount you want to power up and then click on Power up.

That's all about my second achievement, I hope it gets verified soon and see you all in my third one.
