Read The Book; Not Just The Cover
There's a damsel in distress
With pretty low self esteem
Beneath the jokes
There's a lady struggling to be happy
After the bad breakup
Beneath the smile
There's the burdening worry
About what to eat tomorrow
Beneath the arrogance
There's volcanic anger at life
For the bad it's thrown at her
Beneath the pride
There's a humble person
Just trying to fit in
Beneath the academic unseriousness
There's a child
Just trying to make mommy proud
Beneath the royalty
There's just a commoner
Wishing people accepted her for who she is
Beneath the valedictorian achievement
There's that artist
Hoping she paints someday
So if you meet someone today
Please be nice
Maybe, Just maybe
They'd let you have a peek at their soul
But most times
We never read the book
We're just interested in the cover
I couldn't agree more, people tend to be interested in just the cover not the person, especially when it's a fine girl, they tend to not see past her beauty
I recently noticed that this applies to the male gender also.
Sad
But in most cases, the cover is also meant to trap you.. So, we should be careful who to trust and who to read too..

Nice @gidionline. Everyone has a public face and a private face. Most times we just fake it until it becomes the real thing. Not that I encourage anyone to pretend but sometimes it's the only weapon you have against the world.
