Explore Ilocos ~ Pinsal Falls
My Ilocos. I had so much fun running around the beautiful beaches and historic towns in my home province that even if I am in the Middle East, I can’t get over how I am so in love exploring my hometown.
I always verbally express Ilocos Region has a lot to offer. Full of beauty, charm and adventure landscapes to beaches, to local cuisines and of course Ilocano people.
Just pin on the list of your Ilocos must-endeavors. The breathtaking Pinsal Falls located in Sta. Maria Ilocos Sur. It is unbelievable that there is a hidden and pristine place like this, 30-45 minutes or more travel time from the Central Market. Authentically an astounding visual perception which is as yet undiscovered.
Alhough it was summer when we went here and there was not enough water and I think that is natural. We were greeted by a majestic and mesmerizing landscape.
They said natural pools here were deep during La Nina, so it is perfect for those who want to swim and dive but if you want to just bathe like me it will be better to go to the basins above the falls. You will just take the risk to climb a little high and steepy stairway at the side of it or take the walkway at the side of the mountain until you reach the top of the falls. (you require to be more careful), to experience it. For me, this place is an ideal place for swimming. The view above the falls is even more spectacular.
Near the falls there are cottages for rent, where you can bring your own food, so no reason not to relish the place.
If you are a backpacker adventurers alike, I would definitely recommend the place and for those who love chasing waterfalls. The place is so much potential for tourism. Hopefully, this place will be kept and forfended very well. I would definitely go back again when I got home.

It's the surfing capital of Ilocos but always, puro small waves nakita ko..meron walkway yes.
