I'm not that much familiar to Persian language at all but it is quite similar to my native language Urdu both in terms of phrases and proverbs. Great Poet of the East Allama Muhammad Iqbal used many Persian poetic phrases in his poetry. So, it made me to write it for you sir

Yes you are right #iqbal is very prominent name of both URDU and PERSIAN. Let me tell you one more thing two other names are very famous regarding Persian:
1- SAADI
2- SHIRAZI
Their 'Hikayatas' (Proverbs) are included in our syllabus and we have been taught their sayings in our school books.
