I feel like before we start getting into my training plan, I need to explain what do training zones mean and why we refer to them in our training plan. In the video I am talking about each zone specifically.

There are 7 zones in cycling :

  1. Active recovery
  2. Endurance
  3. Tempo
  4. Threshold
  5. VO2Max
  6. Anaerobic
  7. Neuromuscular

If you are a cyclist or just interested in getting fit and training hard, feel free to subscribe to the channel, because next week we are stepping it up with all the interval work coming up. It's going to be awesome and I can't wait to share it all with you guys!

Discovering heart rate zones was a game changer for me.

Before that, I would just ride as hard as I could for as long as I could.

Would burn out, and get tired of riding, and if I wanted to step up the intensity near the end of a ride, it would usually end in failure.

This is also one of the common mistakes people make at the gym, as well.
