ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE: DESTRUCTION OR REVOLUTION?
Since the beginning of the human species, man has developed teams to perform their jobs more easily, reducing time and effort.
The last decades have been of constant changes, specifically in the computer industry where technologies such as the Internet, smartphones and social networks have reversed the way we live. Nowadays, virtual reality and artificial intelligence are the focus of attention.
The latter has created much uncertainty about the future of humanity. Robots have become common machines and the big companies that build many devices have required a lot, which means firing workers and replacing them with machines.
By the way, the machines are the object of doubt and distrust. Big businessmen like Elon Musk and Bill Gates have been skeptical about this new world. Musk says that "it may be the beginning of a catastrophe on the planet."
And they are not wrong:
"Personally, AI is a technology that must be used to solve today's problems such as poverty, pollution and food, not to increase the lack of employment and poverty."
In the case of the United States, there are about 40 million poor people and through AI this number would double.
But ... the elite through their corporations want to get rid of workers and their requests, being exchanged for robots controlled by computer programs, which are "more profitable" in terms of expenses, but very harmful to the economy itself. Since this can trigger a high rate of unemployment, and in turn increase more poverty.
Others claim that this revolution is unstoppable and will improve our lives, as is the case with Mark Zuckerberg, the founder of Facebook that affirms the benefits of AI. He has also funded projects related to this field demonstrating his support for this new technology.
But there is always an economic interest behind this type of initiatives.
