HARVESTING YAMS BY @gero2021
Helo readers !
Today I had a very special evening since I went to the garden. I always wanted to learn how to harvest yams, today’s evening I was able to learn. I was home and decided to have a walk around the village areas and I was taking some photographs which I was to post in #steemit in the community of #photography.
I found an old woman on her way to the garden, since I knew her we had some talking and greetings. After I had to ask her where she was heading, she was heading to the garden to harvest yams.we went together and she started instructing me on home to do it.
My time reached when I had to show what I had learnt from the old woman, so in order to harvest the yams one has to use the panga. This is inserted near to the yam plant, then ones starts to pull it out since the roots be when they’re cut.
After cutting the roots, then one has to pull the whole plant out of the soil.after the yam is got and also the steam is re-planted for other future food .
Hope you have not only learnt how to harvest but also to plant 😝😝😝

I didn't know about how yams are harvested truth be told. Thanks for the share. I can now also theoretically do it😂
Why not practically doing it😂 anyway it’s not hard at all tho the grass around can itch 😂🤧
