BMW i8 Coupé and i8 Roadster: the prices revealed

The BMW i8 Roadster is one of the only hybrid roadsters available on the market.

The BMW i8 roadster, presented at the last Los Angeles show, is entering the catalog, accompanied by the updated version of the coupe. Prices start at € 141,950 for the coupe and € 156,950 for the roadster.

Last November, BMW finally introduced the long-awaited roadster version of its i8 hybrid coupe. It has a canvas top, which can open and close in just 15 seconds, and introduces a technical update, which allows the hybrid system to gain 12 hp (374 hp in total), thanks to batteries of greater capacity.

The BMW i8 coupe has naturally taken over this technical evolution and both vehicles claim autonomy from
50 km in all electric. In terms of design, no noticeable evolution, the roadster displaying a silhouette very close to the coupe, even taking its door to elytron opening.

The i8 Roadster, € 15,000 more expensive than the Coupé

The i8 coupe is subtly updated for 2018.

With a base price of € 141,950, the BMW i8 coupe is a little more expensive than before (€ 138,950 in 2017) and justifies this with its power and its increasing autonomy, but also by some new equipment in its serial staffing. We note the arrival of the touch screen for the navigation system, comfort access (automatic opening of doors when approaching the vehicle) as well as a new leather upholstery "Carpo".

For its part, the i8 Roadster is sold at a price of € 156,950, which represents an additional € 15,000 compared to the coupe.

Of course, it is possible to complete the endowment of its i8 through a number of options, such as various saddlery (up to € 3,500) or various types of wheels (up to € 1,850). We can also mention the laser projectors (€ 6,500), the Harman Kardon Hi-Fi system (€ 910) or even the customized delivery to the Munich BMW Welt.
