Myths about food in the wild.

Dear Steemit

Most series or survival manuals mention that plants are a good source of food in the wild. However, this is not true and it is good to beware of most plant species, because they can not only not feed us, but can cause us stomach problems, and worse, poison us.and even kill us or paralyses us. We should know which plant we can eat and which plant we have to avoid so that we can survive in the forest.

What can we eat in the wild?

A basic rule of survival is that anything that moves, crawls or drags is safe to eat and gives a person the calories needed to survive!their are plant in the forest who can eat the human.

And so:

  1. All fur-bearing having animal you can eat. Don't hesitate to set 3-4 traps and hope to catch something.

  2. All insects that have 6 limbs become food and will bring you the right amount of nutrients needed by the body.

  3. Almost all freshwater fish are edible and, above all, extremely tasty.

  4. Almost all birds become food.

  5. Fruits that has been eaten by animal can also be eaten.

Most plants are dangerous and can bring you unpleasant emotions and even poison you. If you have the knowledge you should Avoid the food in the jungle as it can kill you very easily.

Greetings @genx-miner, I am surprised by these statement "anything that moves, crawls or creeps is safe to eat and gives a person the necessary calories to survive" Even if I am not one of those who like to go hiking I would evaluate a lot the scenario of eating something unknown, I guess it is already a matter of survival but I would focus just by trying to look for aquatic species and fruits. thanks for your tips it is always good to have this kind of knowledge.

hello @genx-miner,
Many people do not know that what kills faster in the jungle are not wild animals, not even hunger, what kills faster in the jungle is diarrhea, if out of hunger or ignorance you eat any animal or plant that causes diarrhea, the chances of your survival are very low, diarrhea makes your body dehydrate quickly causing death within minutes, so it is not only advisable to eat only what you know but also take only what is safe for you but if you do not, your survival rate will be quite low.

Greetings @ genx-minero, It is very important to have knowledge of plants and animal parts that can be eaten in survival situations, as it could lead you to a deadly scenario due to lack of experience. I share a phrase from my country "Everything that moves and has blood is edible", this will certainly help for these moments of survival.
Thank you very much for sharing your publication

Hello @genx-minero, without a doubt you should have knowledge of the properties of plants before consuming them, since not all are of great benefit to humans and can result in unexpected effects or even death. Therefore my advice in this case would be not to eat what you do not know. Greetings and thank you for sharing your information with us.

Consuming wild plants can be very risky because many wild plants can kill only a few are eatable by man.

Knowing the types of plant and animals that are edible can save us alot especially during famine and wars I listened to a story from my grandmother than that during the war that food was scares they will cut different types of leaves and arrange them down then released a goat down around that place any leaves the goat eat then they know they can also eat it and survive but anyone the goat refused to eat they will not eat it also because they believe it will be poisonous to human. Your point under fruit that have been eaten by animals can also be eaten made me to remember this.
