Roof at Kings Cross

This is the roof support at the refurbished Kings Cross railway station in London.

 

Despite my sadness when railway lines are 'rationalised', I love what they've done to this rather functional station and created a lovely space both within and around the station.

 

As a kid, I spent many happy days in London 'trainspotting and rushing around the London stations on the tube while my parents thought I was sat at the end of platform 1 at Doncaster, but there was no Google maps in those days or mobile phones of course!
