We can all grow together

'The planet has enough for everyone's needs, but note for everyone's greed'

Above is one of my favourite quotes. It has been shaping and guiding my life for a while. It is truism that we leave in a capitalist world. The rich are getting richer and the poor getting poorer. People get rich and start cutting the poor off, build taller fences and create a class for themselves from the planet's common wealth.

Whether we like it or not, we all need one other. A business man needs people that are not into business to work for him. The rich man needs the poor to do menial jobs that will make the rich man's life easier and his money meaningful, remember money has no use when there is nothing to purchase with it. Unfortunately, majority of people think their financial success is as a result of their acumen only, hence, they become arrogant and oppress the poor calling them all sorts of names. If you are financially blessed beyond what you need, the first thing to do is to raise your standards of giving, not that of your living.

In an environment where your neighbours can hardly feed twice a day, you have excesses. I really do not know how people sleep peacefully knowing that their neighbours are hungry. Let us learn to give out of what we have. Remember the day the wealth we are piling up will not be able to avail anyone. Remember the spoiler of joy.
