A nation is not rich by virtue of her wealth but by the wealth of her virtues. There is tremendous wealth in being a person of virtue. Virtues and values have economic value just as they have spiritual value. Take for instance integrity. Several business owners and institutions are not just looking for competence but they seek people of integrity to commit enterprises and institutions into their hands. Trust is a key component in stewardship therefore if you cannot be trusted, you cannot be entrusted.

Our key scripture says a good name is higher than riches. This means a good name can attract whatever riches you desire. Rather than pursue wealth, purse virtue and wealth will pursue you. Apostle Peter admonished us to add virtue to our faith. Shedrach, Meshach and Abednego were promoted by the same Nebuchadnezzar who set up the image. Even the people of the world recognize and reward virtue.

Your wealth is not just in your skill but in your virtue and value. People have lost huge sums of money in sales/contracts due to time indiscipline. Time has monetary value therefore a person no matter how talented can be poor if he/she does not value time. Determine to become a person of virtues and values TODAY.

ACTION POINT

Write down the virtues you need to cultivate to succeed and the values that will govern your life henceforth and ask the Holy Spirit to help you cultivate them.
