I only buy bars, that is cheaper than coins. Also I only buy bars of recycled gold. This way I try to avoid supporting illegal mining and other despicable practices that can be found in the gold production, like slave labor, environment pollution and so on.
I have a source that vouches to use only recycled gold, C.Hafner in Germany. Its also not more expensive than bars from "fresh" gold.

Other investors like those. Thats literally the gold standard. Wise choice.

i have a collection of silver coins and buy my gold through goldmoney to avoid losses - am also a gemstone fossecker and have around 100 good sapphires that i sell off slowly and i keep some cash in reserve too -i am now following you in support

Is GoldMoney Peter Schiff's company?

he has joined as a new partner

Is this a 1/2 oz. ? For fractional gold, I prefer American Gold Eagles... 1/10, 1/4 . I still need to get my own 1 oz Gold Eagle.
Another good fractional gold coin is Canadian Maple.
You can also find French Francs of gold and gold British sovereign. These could be dated in the 1800s, but still pay like gold bullion. These are cool, old, and gold.

I like the American Gold Buffalo Coin, it's 99.9 gold as opposed to the Eagle that is 91.67% Gold , 3% Silver, 5.33% Copper. Im a purist what can I say. :)

Is that a 1/10 oz? I love them they make a great sound when you move them around in your hand if you have a couple of them.

Half ounce ! Sorry I should of had that info in it
